Somerset House wanted to create an exhibition design that deeply reflected the themes and values of their show, Eternally Yours. The exhibition centred on care, repair and healing, featuring work by craftspeople, artists and designers. It was important to the client that the design not only be aesthetically considered but also be environmentally friendly and tactile.
The outcome was a design inspired by imperfection, featuring wonky panels with offset text, which were printed with waste screenprinting ink, mixed together to produce a custom shade of brown.
The smaller caption panels throughout the show were produced using offcuts of MDF. The large title panel was made from hundreds of individual staples, painstakingly applied by hand!
