Where Surfers, Farmers and Hippies Meet
Client – LAW Magazine
Services – Art direction / Design / Screenprint
As part of the 10th issue of LAW magazine (found here), each contributor was asked to produce a patch on the theme of ‘hometown’, which were then connected together into a large banner by Sadie Williams.
I produced a 2-layer screenprint on canvas to create a design representing the unique richness of St David’s, Pembrokeshire where I spent part of my childhood. Using a found image of St Govan’s chapel, a tiny stone building built into the cliff, I created a design that reads ‘Where surfers, farmers and hippies meet’, reflecting the how the area is distinctively made up of diverse yet interconnected communities that co-exist harmoniously.
