Vinted Brand Illustration Refresh
Client – Vinted
Agency – Anyways Creative / BUCK
Services – Art direction
As part of a wider brand refresh, Vinted wanted to reimagine their illustration style across app, web, print and OOH to feel more aligned with their updated visual language.
The challenge was to create a cohesive identity that felt reflective of the app as a platform for their diverse community to discover the joy of second-hand. The style needed to work across many formats and scales – from tiny icons to detailed hero images – as well as effectively communicate a range of themes and scenarios, whilst sitting seamlessy alongside other branded elements like photography and type.
Working as part of the team at Anyways Creative and BUCK, I developed a visual toolkit filled with extensively detailed guidelines to direct Vinted’s in-house team in producing illustrative assets as needed. We included guidance in tone, line style, texture, character styling, colour and much more.
As well as comprehensive brand guidelines, we developed a series of example visuals with illustrator Isabela Humphrey that showed our defined direction in use. These visuals brought to life a series of themes and scenarios that reflect Vinted’s content, functions and users – things like sending parcels, different categories and items being sold. The new illustration style is being rolled out across the brand and can currently be seen throughout the app, as shown in the imagery here.
